National Cardiothoracic Centre is set to embark on a new chapter in its healthcare journey as Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah steps into the role of Director, succeeding Professor Mark Mawutor Tettey, who is retired after two years of dedicated service.


Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah’s appointment, effective 1st June 2024, marks a significant transition for the Centre, promising a fresh perspective in healthcare leadership.
Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position, having served as a Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Centre from 2022 to date. His tenure has been characterized by a commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and innovative practices. With a proven track record of leadership and a deep understanding of the Centre’s operations, Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah is poised to lead the National Cardiothoracic Centre into a new era of healthcare provision.


As he assumes his new role, Dr. Kow Entsua-Mensah expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the Director and acknowledged the legacy left by his predecessors.
