Staff of the National Cardiothoracic Centre gathered on December 20, 2023 to celebrate their traditional Christmas Nine Lessons and Carols.
The celebration was officiated by Rev. Fr. Apaloo of St. Luke Catholic Church, Korle-Bu. In his exhortation, he appealed to staff of the Centre to approach their job as a duty that will be a source of joy to many who come to seek healthcare. He added that staff should strive to serve as a source of light for the Centre.
In his Christmas message to the Centre, the Ag. Director, Prof. Mark Tettey congratulated staff and thanked them for holding steadfast when the Centre was faced with many challenges this year. He was hopeful that in 2024, many of the challenges would be surmounted. He ended by appealing to staff to be honest in the discharge of their respective duties to the Centre.
Music for the occasion was provided by the Cardiothoracic Centre Choir led by Mr Isaac Okine.
The Carol Service ended with light refreshment.
