Yahuah Kingdom Academy Foundation – Our History

Yahuah Kingdom Academy Foundation was founded in 2020, out of love and necessity to provide a quality education, at a minimal cost. After ceasing a volunteer position of several years with a local school in the community, COVID hit. COVID – 19, caused many children, whom I had previously taught, to start forgetting what they had learned. Many parents began to stop by our home, and plead with us to open a school. These requests turned into a vision, that turned into a reality. We began with a small group of children coming for class. Once COVID restrictions were lifted, we continued to educate our students and the school blossomed into what it is today.

Our school funding has come from our own income, friends and family who have a heart to help. Our goal is to redirect the current structuring of an educational system, which fosters the thinking that a “quality education” can be obtained only by those who can afford an exorbitant amount of money. We realized that many children attend expensive schools and yet the children are not receiving the necessary academia in all subject areas that meet and or exceed a basic global fundamental standard. The educational system of the country is fractured. Academia educators, on all levels, have not been held accountable for the failure of educational standards. The parents must be educated as well, on how vital it is that their children are not just going to school to stop from disturbing them in the house. The sole purpose for attending school is obtain an education that will produce a productive citizen. The desire to prepare children to become lifelong learner’s and global citizens became our life’s goal. In doing so, we refuse to offer a mediocre curriculum and we definitely refuse to except mediocre work.

We provide an educational tram that works to replicate, enhance and develop structures for great student achievement.

We must continue to break the borders and barriers of the thinking that the continent of Africa is not a part of the world’s big family. That change can only come when we stand together as one.
